“Words are just nails I use to build ideas.” –  True story: Many of my friends are engineers. To make me an honorary sister of their sorority Phi Sigma Rho, they creatively labeled me the English and Journalism major an “engineer of words.”

“Prose must be spare and true.”  – Excellent advice for journalists. And perhaps novelists. While in the novel on submission my words convey a truth, they are very spare. So much so Dear Editor thinks I can add 10-15,000 of them!
